Store Policies

Cove Business Products offers the following Returns Policy:

In order that a return is processed as quickly as possible, all returned items MUST have a Return Authorization (RA) number. Please email coveproducts@msn.com or call us at 1-516-445-2694 for an RA #. (Note: For fastest service, please use email correspondence) Please mention your name, order number and date of purchase. An RA number will be issued along with instructions for returning the product. A RETURN AUTHORIZATION IS VALID FOR 15 DAYS. FAILURE TO RETURN PRODUCT WITHIN 15 DAYS OF THE ISSUANCE OF THE RA NUMBER AND RETURN INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DELAY OR COMPLETE FORFEITURE OF A REFUND.

  • Credit will not be issued until the product in question has been received back by Cove Business Products.
  • Freight will only be credited for Cove Business Products errors. All returns must be sent back freight pre-paid. Any returns that are sent back freight collect will be refused.
  • Short shipments and wrong item shipments must be reported to Cove Business Products within 5 days of receipt.
  • Product that is returned without an associated RA, and returned product that was not originally purchased from us will be returned to you at your expense.


Non-Defective Product Returns

  • All non-defective product returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fee and are non-returnable after 45 days.
  • Any non-defective return received that is not 100% resalable (unopened with all original packaging, all parts, instructions and labels) will be returned to you. Do not write the RA number on the original packaging. Items returned with marks, stickers, tape, tags, packaging labels or writing on the product box will be considered non-resalable and not be accepted.


Products Damaged in Transit

  • To receive a credit for product damaged in transit, the product must be signed for as damaged and the damage must be reported to Cove Business Products within 5 days. The product must be returned in its original exterior carton. If the preceding conditions are not met credit cannot be issued.


Defective Product Returns

Compatible / Remanufactured Products

Defective products can be returned for either a refund or replacement. Please refer to our troubleshooting tips first as many problems can be easily fixed by performing the steps outlined there. They are located in the FAQ section.

  • In the case of a defective product or dissatisfaction with product quality, please contact us with a desription of what is wrong with the product. An RA number will be issued along with instructions for returning the defective product.
  • If you desire a replacement product, one will be sent to you right away. IT IS IMPORTANT TO SEND THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT BACK WITHIN 15 DAYS. COVE BUSINESS PRODUCTS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO BILL YOU FOR THE REPLACEMENT PRODUCT IN THE EVENT THAT THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT PURCHASED IS NOT RETURNED.
  • If a refund is requested, the total purchase price will be refunded to you upon receipt of your return.
  • All defective returns will be inspected and toner cartridges will be weighed. Product that is found to be non-defective or used will not be credited.


  • OEM Product Returns

    • All claims of defective OEM product must be made within 45 days of invoice date.
    • All defective product must be returned in an OEM box.
    • All defective returns will be inspected and toner cartridges will be weighed. Product that is found to be non-defective or used will not be credited.


    As determined by the industry and our manufacturers, please not these exceptions to our return policy:

    • Bulk diskette cannot be returned. All sales are final.
    • All Bottled copier, fax, printer supplies including toner, developer and fuser supplies are checked and in saleable condition before shipping and therefore are not returnable. All sales of these items are final.
